Charlotte Westie February Dance – New Location

Keep the Charlotte Westie Fest spirit alive by coming to our February dance at our NEW LOCATION. Saturday, February 10.

We are happy to announce we will now have space to hold simultaneous workshops for beginner and intermediate dancers in a convenient venue in Charlotte’s Elizabeth neighborhood just outside of uptown.

Belk Hall (part of & adjacent to Caldwell Presbyterian Church)
1600 Park Drive, Charlotte
Free parking

Kicking us off in our new location are friends and fabulous dancers, Gary Jobst and Troy Robbins. Two time US Open Champion and frequent event judge, Gary Jobst will lead a fun workshop for beginners focusing on the dance fundamentals to ease our newbies onto the dance floor. Gary will also be spinning the tunes for us.

Troy Robbins, a current competitor at the All Star level who is finding his passion through teaching others this magical dance will lead our intermediate workshop. Finding Your Voice in West Coast Swing will explore various aspects of the dance:

– Footwork and connection based on musicality
– Dancing to the music vs. dancing to the beat
– Perfect partnerships: matching movements & creating space

You won’t want to miss our inaugural dance at the new location! Here are the details:
